Small pool but great for training . Welcoming and friendly people. As a swimmer wanting to train it was excellent temperature, not too hot, nor too cold. Has adults only sessions which is good, and there were only 5 of us in the water. Bliss.

My husband stumbled upon this swimming pool a few years ago during a miserable, rainy and cold camping trip with our youngest son. We had been to Scotland for a few days and as a surprise for me we stopped here on our way home. It was a cloudy day and I was not best pleased to tell the truth... More

We have just been to Shap swimming pool this afternoon. It is a great pool with a play park next door. The pool was warm. If it is a lovely sunny day you could spend all afternoon there. Refreshments available. We will def pop up again during the holidays.

Travelling back from Shap Abbey we decided to have a look at the pool, we started talking to the friendly staff (Volunteers) and decided to get our swimming clothes from the hotel and give it a go. We spent the best part of an hour in the pool and it was great fun and so unusual, I would recommend it... More

We visited Shap outdoor pool last sunday. The water temperature was perfect, the staff were so friendly and the drinks and snacks were excellent value. It's closed now until next summer but we can't wait to go back.
