We stopped here on the way back from nearby Ullswater. The site is well worth a visit. There is a ring of earthworks and a single remaining standing stone. This would be a lovely peaceful site if it were not for the din of the...More

We had a nice little walk around but there isn't really much to see and it is only small, worth a visit if you are passing but not worth going out of your way for

This Neolithic Henge at Eamont Bridge, stands up to 3 metres high with a single standing stone and worth a visit. We made a detour while on holiday in the area. Car parking is available and dogs on leads welcome.

I love anything historic, and so I did want to see Mayburgh Henge, even though it is only one stone! We were passing it on the way to our cottage, so it wasn't out of our way. It is intriguing to see, and will offer...More

Worth a visit - but only one stone left to speak of - so not so engaging on the eye as Avebury say - but the site is still quite a size
