Buy the all day ticket and use as a hop on and hop off launch. This is great for walkers and is an excellent way of seeing all of Derwentwater. Regardless of the weather it is a great way to see the whole of the...More

Great trip on derwentwater cruises ,sit inside or outside,on this occassion it was raining very heavily, but still a lovely trip, stopping of at various points to let people on and off. Amazing scenery and views, takes around 50 minutes and is around £10 each.

If you stay on you can do the whole loop in under an hour. You could walk around the whole lake in about 8 miles. There are numerous trails up onto the surrounding hills. You can get off at any of 8 stops, and then...More

Bought the tickets, told we could board in 10minutes, no indication of which launch we would be boarding (2 moored up). No welcome as we boarded the 1pm clockwise sailing today. A couple with a disabled child were not offered any help to board, no...More

We managed to catch the 10.30am cruise on a Tuesday morning which goes anti-clockwise round the lake. Not sure if it was just the timing but the boat was quieter than the one going clockwise which leaves on the hour. It was a bit chilly...More

The Keswick Launch is a great way to see Derwentwater and the surrounding scenery. The Launch probably makes 8 stops during the 45 minute trip. Many people get off at one of the stops and hike to the surrounding peaks. They then return to the...More

Having been on most of the Lakes cruises over the years I wouldn’t hold this one up for any awards. The boats are quite small and noisy. There was a smell of diesel in the cabin. The staff were scruffy and there was no commentary....More

Cruise was ok, up until the captain started telling people off for standing on a pier when they didn't want the boat? Totally innapropriate - it's as if the guy doesn't realise his business operates by tourists... Spoiled the experience really, so cannot recommend this...More

Unfortunately, it started to rain as we were about to set off on our cruise. The windows soon became steamed up and no attempts were made to get some fresh air through the cabin. Neither of the crew had anything to say to the tourists....More

Hi, We only got off at Nichol End and walked back to Lingholm for the cafe. That section is fine with a buggy. At Keswick you can walk along the side of the lake to the view point I'm afraid I can't comment on the others... More
