I was a little anxious that I wouldn't enjoy the performance as it would be slapstick and a bit silly but I was very wrong. The actors were class and very talented to be able to transition between so many characters so easily! The play...More

The theatre is lovely , although we must have chosen the wrong show . We welcomed the interval as it allowed us to make our escape from what was a very dull experience. In short , I would recommend the theatre but would say that...More

After several years of deliberating, went to see a production ( Sense & sensilbility) at this gem of a theatre. Excellent production, albeit with a touch of pantomime(ie much stomping about the stage) , very professionally staged and performed. Looking forward to our next visit.

Excellent play in a charming theatre. Pre-show meal in the restaurant just right and so nice to be able to stroll over to the park and gaze over Derwentwater to the peaks at the head of Borrowdale.

The theatre is so intimate and yet the play was just spell-binding. The setting of the theatre on the banks of Derwent Water is perfect for having a stroll and enjoying a picnic.
