This was our third visit and second Christmas presentation. This is a brilliant theatre, in a great location. We travel from Manchester area, visit attractions en route, eat out and stay over. It’s a great excuse for a night out. Much better than the normal...More

The modern theatre itself is very attractive with lots of space and very helpful staff. We sat in the upper circle and the view of the stage was excellent although the access to the seat was poor largely due to one of the access aisles...More

Dear David, Thanks for your review. We're a little confused by the description of an access isle being permanently closed off and impeding audiences' access to seating. Having spoken to our Front of House Manager and reviewing our show reports over the last few days,...More

Really enjoyed this production, wasn’t entirely sure what to expect beforehand, but is more a play than a panto. The cast performed their roles excellently, the narrative was clear and we thought it was great.

This production attempted to walk a line between pantomime and play and failed on both fronts. It lurched from toilet humour to tragedy with no rhyme or reason. There was no sense of narrative drive or journey. Standout WTF moments were a bizarre orgasmic eating...More

Nothing on is quite along those lines. But I’d avoid Rails as it’s rather harrowing and recommend the Alan bennet play that’s currently on.
