A slate mine is an interesting place and we enjoyed learning about what goes on here. So much so that we decided to buy a house name sign.....or almost. To cut a long story short, the £162 for a 24 inch sign with 10 letters...More

This slate mine is simply awesome. My 10 year old loved it. Our guild (on the easy tour) was lovely with a great sense of humour and had a fantastic rapport with the kids. It's a bit wet and chilly but it is a mine......More

The mine tour is extremely interesting. A great place to go for all the family to get a feel for the real work & history of the Lakes.
