We had a really entertaining tour with Donald our guide from the moment we put our mining hats on till we got back to the departure point. The bus to the mine shaft gives you a really good view from high up the mountain. Donald...More

If the man of the tale or the actors on the screen with gimmicky lights - it is interesting. It is what it is all around.

We stopped here as walking in the area and the mine has a large car park, cafe, toilets and quite expensive gift shop where we usually buy slate souvenirs. We have never tried the Via Ferrata but have passed the climbers while walking on Fleetwith Pike.

We visited the mine in April and did the mine tour which was well worth a visit. Our guide Donald was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and enjoyable. We loved the lighting and information talks throughout the visit. Highly recommended.
