I am sure the attraction and activities are good. However, at 5pm the night prior to taking part in the activity, my booking got cancelled. I also found it amusing that I was offered "two options". These were to undertake a different activity, or have a voucher for 12 months. If a provider is cancelling an activity, the third option... More

We use the car park here for walking up Haystacks and beyond, and always start and end with a loo break and coffee. The cafe is a little overpriced, but the carrot cake is delicious. Haven't done the mine tour so can only comment on the cafe. PS Parking is £5 which is deducted off any purchase over £10 in... More

This was a really interesting. The weather outside could only be described as sideways rain which made the mine a little colder than usual but we were told the temperature tends to remain around 11 degree so not freezing. . The story of the mine was fascinating and seeing how the Slate was mined over the years gave a real... More

This was one of the places we had stopped to take some photographs and visit the Mine store/cafe, while we were taking the Ten Lakes Spectacular tour with the Mountain Goat. Wide panoramic views can be had here, and you can partake in adventurous activities like cliffside rope-walking or trekking from here.

Very interesting visit. Our guide was very informative and funny with it. There was a couple of young children that at the start did not want to be there but our guide very quickly got them involved so they had a good time. Very nice food and drinks with lovely things to buy in the shop

One to tick off the bucket list - The Via Ferrata. Great instructor, Tom, explained everything well and had patience and a sense of humour. As well as completing the challenge, we learned a lot about the history of the mines at Honister and also the surrounding area. A really enjoyable afternoon. Thank you Team Honister. We'll be recommending you.

It was absolutely tipping it down when we visited, but that didnt stop this being a very enjoyable day out. Wrap up warm with waterproofs and good shoes and you'll have no problems. Even got some slate as a souvenir.

As the weather was particularly bad, we decided to book a mine tour for the morning. Booking online the night before was easy and e-tickets were delivered to email quickly. We had a superb tour when we arrived by Roland, he was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly has a big passion for the mine. The cafe and shop were great especially... More

We've been meaning to do this for some time and eventually plucked up the courage to give it a go. It was awesome!! The weather was fantastic with only a very slight breeze. Our instructor was great putting us at ease but ensuring we were always safe. The course itself is quite challenging and the bridge is something else!! Certainly... More
