a good local museum probably a little over size for the size of Kendal (which is good more to see) there parts about wainwright geology and natural history especially if its a wet day in the lake district enjoy

Visited this museum and was really impressed on how many different exhibits there were. Fascinating. My personal favourite was animal exhibition, which was well thought about. Made the exhibition really interesting. For £2 entrance fee you cannot go wrong!

Me and my partner visited the museum as part of a day trip around Kendal, very cheap to get in and staff very friendly! We just found the museum very quiet and quite stuffy inside! A lot more could be done to make it abit...More

Having not been here since I was in a push chair the only thing I remembered was the stuffed grizzly bear. There is a lot of taxidermy, which isn't to everyone's taste, but you have to remember that there was a different attitude to animals...More

This is a good museum, pass an hour or so. Lots of world animals, birds and moths exhibits, a history of Kendal and a few hands on activities. Helpful staff, worth the £2 per person entrance fee. Suitable for all ages.

it was raining so we went for visit to the Kendal Museum we had a good time checking out all the interesting items in the museum we found it was a very good way to pass the time

As small museum go this one packs a lot in. The Victorians were always stuffing animals and this museum shows in 'tableau' form and these are quite amazing. Look at some of these tableau’s and you quickly get lost in spotting all of the exhibits....More
