This is such an interesting place to visit, John Ruskin as an amazing man, so nice to learn more about him. Afterwards we visited the cafe which is very nice. I can recommend the delicious scones and jam.

Excellent food here and sitting outside looking over the lake to Cat Bells is just amazing! Great place for lunch .

Well worth visiting views from house and gardens out over Coniston water. All very interesting , enjoyed the lower gardens going down to Coniston and the getty . Was well timed as the steam launch " Gondola " came in .

Beautiful spot overlooking lake, lovely food, interesting place, gardens to wander round and nicely renovated recently. Easy access although lane is narrrow so take care, good place to explore.

Outside is yes, inside I’m not sure but I didn’t see any dogs in the building.
