If you love gingerbread you really must visit this shop. It is only small and very oldy worldy even the staff ware long dresses and mopcaps, it's very quaint. They sell honey and Kendal mintcake and other bits and pieces and it is all delicious.

Best gingerbread, ever!! A definite must if visiting the Lake District - it's too good to miss! In fact it's so tasty, we had to go back twice.

You just have to buy the gingerbread if visiting Grasmere. This is part of the Grasmere experience. Visiting the church next door is also worthwhile.

In over 50 years of visiting Grasmere I can't remember a time when I haven't visited this shop and bought their gingerbread. It is unique, tasty and incredibly 'moreish'! Highly recommend that you try it out!

We always make a point of visiting the Gingerbread Shop when we come to the Lake District for our holidays. The gingerbread never disappoints.

I've been here so many times in the past but I've never reviewed it. It's such an iconic place to visit in this small village. The product is sensational!

A firm favourite of ours! Always call for a pack of 6 pieces to have with coffee. Staff are very friendly and love the original quaint shop. Lots to offer in a small space...the gingerbread ice cream is gorgeous! Also placed an order online for...More
