Our first visit here as we were staying in Grasmere village. It was well worth the ten minute walk for the stunning views, warm welcome and of course the cute squirrels!

Went to see Red's and we were not disappointed, the views from this place are amazing especially in autumn.
The house is rather small but from my point of view it's the conservation of the red's in the area that is more important.
This National Trust property had suffered a severe fire and has been restored to plaster only walls however it has great history, views, a large tiered garden with good but steep paths and if you are lucky red squirrels and deer to be spotted.
