Excellent. Veggie puy lentil dish with sweet potatoes, halloumi, peas and a corriander drizzle, also tomato and chorizo soup with lovely granery bread, superb coconut cake and a big fat scone! Well worth the visit. Definitely will return! 👍

Set right in the centre of Grasmere this garden centre has something for everyone. Whether it's plants for the garden, books, presents, furniture et cetera et cetera it will probably be here. Despite being a tourist trap we don't find the prices are too expensive at all. The staff are very helpful and the shop itself well laid out. We... More

Now, if your ok with gluten then your ok eating here. But, if your a Coeliac, AVOID. My wife and I visited the café here this afternoon and ordered one gluten free cake and a caramel shortcake. The girl decided to put both onto the same plate, before we saw it and gave us a puzzled look when I said... More

Have visited this Garden Centre many times, however recently when I have called in I have found the layout of the main shop very bizarre. More and more shoes, clothes, nightwear, hats etc.. and as the shop floor space is somewhat limited, the displays overspill into each other. Such a shame as this little Garden Centre has always been a... More

I am sorry you did not enjoy your visit. At the moment we are having all our flood work done as we have had to wait due to local tradesmen being totally overwhelmed with work in the area to be completed. Therefore, at this time we have no storeroom, a temporary kitchen and no separate area to deal with deliveries.... More

We called in for a hot drink after getting very wet walking over Loughrigg. The coffee was good and the cakes looked nice, but there were no gluten free ones so we were unable to sample them.

Delightful garden centre with a large cafe, just off the centre of Grasmere village. From good robust lunch-time meals to coffee and cakes there will be something for everyone. Just popped in for a quick snack with family - weather wasn't that good for walking around and as this site has its own free parking for customers, it ticked all... More

We had soup & a roll plus tea for two, the soup was far too salty & the tea can only be described as dishwater, one tea bag for a pot of tea for two. Won't be going back.

Had a great lunch of fajitas followed by cream and jam scone both of which were great. Food was very tasty and Gemma our very old Yorkshire Terrier enjoyed the few pieces we didn't manage to eat. Coffee was lovely and hot too. Will defiantly pop in on my next visit.

Good variety a gifts available, something a little bit different. Cafe was OK, service left a little bit to be desired - very slow especially as it wasn't particularly busy. Good menu and was was average when it eventually arrived. It was dog friendly though which is always a bonus for us
