Well presented house in Main Street. Interesting audio tour of house, also have special exhibitions to add to the experience. The cafe serves lovely cakes and very light lunches (not enough for the really hungry).

A lovely warm house with a good feel to it. Plenty of information about William Wordsworth's early life and interesting to talk with the knowledgeable volunteers. The exhibition on when we visited (9 May) is curated by Robert McFarlane with photos taken by his parents....More

Living locally and being NT members we often call in to Wordsworth and take friends who visit. Nice to go at different times of the year to see the changes in the garden. Staff are in period dress and are very knowledgeable

I spent a very pleasant hour here today - the audio guide is excellent and good value at just £1.50. It gives great colour to your visit. The house itself is excellently presented and the gardens are beautiful.
