Lake District has without a doubt the most beautiful lake in England. The natural surroundings of the green lush mountain valleys and rivers make you want to hike and explore these beautiful nature up close..great for a relaxing break away.

Lakes, mountains, pretty towns and chocolate box villages - there is something for everyone in this most beautiful corner of England. Serious fell walkers will never tire of the wonderful views, but the less energetic need not be put off as there is much to do at ground level too. The weather reflects the lush, green landscape, but it doesn't... More

A beautiful area. It.s so easy to escape the crowds. My only gripe are the hideous parking charges. In most car parks, there is a free first 15 mins, then a jump to £3 for 2 hrs etc This is ok if you like shopping and can pass 2hrs looking at wax candles, pottery and cakes. Bring back 1 hr... My partner and I visited the lake district when we were on holiday in Cumbria staying on the windermere camping and caravan park. Love this place so much, loads to see and do and plenty of nice places to stop, eat and drink.

The Lake District National Park is a beautiful part of the United Kingdom and is a special place to spend one or more days exploring the lakes, the villages and the other attractions of the area.

Nice scenery. Can capture a lot of scenic pictures in this area. Nice lake cruise, a must to take if you want to capture even more scenic shots. We went during winter and seated at top deck of the cruise which is very cold, freezing. But worth it for the pictures. Highly recommend the visit and cruise.

Iv visited the Lake District many occasions and each time I'm never dismayed. Plan ahead though as the walks are long and it's also always best if you take someone with to accompany you whilst rambling. I will be visiting the Lake District again very soon so will repost an update but definitely without a doubt one of my all... More

Had a lovely weekend away and spent around £600 on the hotel, meals out, christmas shopping etc .Parked for a couple of hours in the Wateredge carpark (Ambleside). We had trouble paying at the machine (which gave no receipt) and had no number to ring to tell of the malfunction .On returning home we find we have been double charged. Upon contacting... More
