It is of course a review of the theatre. I have been a few times over the years and felt it worth posting a review. Last night we went to see 'The Bakers Wife'.... a performance I believe put on by Hessle Amateurs. Excellent.... but...More

Visited Hull for their annual Jazz Festival - two great venues. The Studio was ideal for small jazz groups with excellent acoustics and comfortable raked seating; suitable ambiance for a piano, sax combo. The main theatre The Heron was ideal for Courtney Pine to perform...More

I've seen a couple of pieces as part of Hull Truck's recent season, one which I loved and one of which I was a bit lukewarm about. However, this seems like a pretty good average! The venue itself is nice and the staff welcoming. Drinks...More

Nice modern theatre specially built for the famous Hull Truck Theatre Company. Comfortable seats with plenty of leg room. We saw the Mighty Atoms - really great story built around a famous woman boxer from Hull. Excellent evening

Fantastic performance of Shakespeare's Richard III. Interesting use of drums, a bit of singing and the outside of the Theatre. Actor portraying Richard was excellent.

Went to see Richard 111. This was a really good production by Northern Broadsides, celebrating city of culture 2017. Actors did a great job. Despite it being a warm evening the theatre was a nice temperature, seats very comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful.
