I went to the theatre last Saturday afternoon to see the show Benidorm. The production and performance exceeded expectations. However there was a policy on the door of not allowing bottles in; no explanation given as to why, and no warning beforehand. I had a...More

The show was fantastic but the venue was awful. There was no air conditioning and everyone was melting, it made me and several other people I spoke to, feel ill. Also the sound was dreadful, I could barely understand what was being said as there...More

Show was fabulous and funny, couldn't fault it, but my experience was spoilt by a female member of staff who rudely told me about taking a photo as she singled me out as lots of others were clearly doing the same and I told her...More

We attended with friends from the northwest of the country who were staying and had never visited Hull before. We had booked ‘Let it Be’ as they are huge Beatles fans. As we approached the theatre across Kingston Square I felt quite proud of our...More

This is one if my favourite theatres to visit, I haven’t been many times but it’s a wonderful building, it’s very clean and spacious, always a warm welcome, I look forward to visiting again for pantomime!

Second visit since renovations , the first time we couldn't get anywhere near the bar so bought plastic bottles soft drinks which is not ideal on a night out, the second time we went earlier because we knew what the bar was like. The bar...More

I don’t understand. I have always managed to get front row seats but after the renovations, there is no room to move. Especially when there is an Orchestra there. This week I have been to see Let it be, the Beatles tribute band which were...More

We went here to see a matinee performance of the Cilla musical. It couldn't have been a better show. All of the cast were great. You didn't have to be a fan of hers to appreciate the story. We had decent seats in a lovely...More

My wife and I went to Hull New Theatre last night to see Cilla the Musical. Just as the show was about to start, they announced that Cilla would be played by her understudy, Harriette Mullen. We weren't sure what to expect, but what we...More

You'll be within arm's reach of the stage. It's more about the dude behind the mixing desk than proximity, though... Mind you, if it's Aggers and Boycs you're going to see, anywhere in the building will be too close if the... More
