Stumbled across this church as we did a walking tour of the city centre of Hull. It is centrally located and a real pretty example of a church and worth taking time to view and enjoy. Very nice example.

It seems this beautiful, historical church has been rather neglected. It looks so picturesque from a far, but needs lots more TLC and a major project.

What a lovely old church, but now damp and showing signs of real decay. We were welcomed by the volunteer staff and enjoyed seeing the interior, but came away feeling sad.

This church is incredible. It is one of the most under estimated jewels in the City and desperately needs the visitors to save it by visiting and donating. The Church that William Wilberforce attended.

The Church of St. Mary the Virgin is said to be the oldest church in Hull, when you step through the door it certainly feels that way. Located on Lowgate in the city centre the church is well worth a visit. The floors are uneven...More
