Enjoyable golf club with decent visitors green fee in summer. Pleasant to play with local oddity such as log cabin for food and refreshments at the end of 9th (away from the clubhouse). Decent food at the clubhouse.

Played during the twilight fee session and couldn't believe the value. Course was in great condition. Greens were fast and true. Members friendly and helpful. Lovely looking course too with some challenging holes. Highly recommend.

Beautiful setting for a family party. Fantastic food, really high standard, so much of it. I could eat it all again now ! The cake selection was the best ever. Service was second to none.

I am a member of this overly golf club, so is my husband, it's my happy place. It's a lovely course, not too long and is quite testing in places. The clubhouse is so welcoming, not only to members, but visitors also get treated with friendly staff and lovely food. The new Pro is very approachable and willing to help... More

I don't play golf but I attended a reception here and that is what I am writing about, I found the food excellent and the staff all that I spoke to very polite and helpful, and when I asked for more they gave it to me, now for me that speaks volumes. So if your thinking of organising a dinner... More

A little jewel tucked between the crown of England's top courses, st augustines is a tight and testing venue that can punish the wayward tee shots. This course is sadly in need of some serious TLC not helped by its sub sea level elevation. If you've not played here before look out for crossing fairways and priorities that can hold... More

Hello Wendy, Thank you very much for leaving a lovely review on here for us! It is true that the sub sea-level geography of our course causes us many problems during the winter months. I can confirm however that in Autumn of 2014 works have begun to improve drainage across the whole course, prioritizing our worst affected areas to begin.... More

Played here as a Junior and it still has its charm. Great little golf course could do with a little TLC here and there but with some work it could be back to its former self.

Hi Matt, Thanks for leaving a review. I can confirm that works have begun this autumn to improve drainage across the whole course, prioritizing our worst effected areas. We will endeavour to remain open all year, and these works should improve the playing conditions on the course during the wettest time of the year, which will positively impact the playing... More

i used to be a member and had happy memories here..but the main problem is poor st augustines is below sea level so if you have any heavy rain the course is either closed or temporary greens come into play which can be quite often at this course..hence i had to leave as i wasnt getting my moneys worth.club house... Hello, Thank you for leaving a review, we are always glad to receive feedback. I can confirm that in Autumn of 2014 works have begun to improve drainage from the course. So far we have seen improvements in surface water levels during the wet weather. We hope that all continuing works will improve playing conditions for the future winter periods.... More

The course was testing and the green is in good condition. Excellent clubhouse facilities. The club is very friendly. In spite of recent heavy rain the course was in good playable condition.

Good course supported by a nice clubhouse. The food is reasonably priced and you can sit outside if you wish. The only problem we had was that the flags are all the same colour and if you don't know the course it is easy to go for the wrong green on a couple of the holes
