If you are coming in on a boat or walking around the harbour this is a lovely church to pop in to to say a prayer for someone, or just to reflect.

Peaceful and historic little church, along the harbour road. This was my second visit. It was at this church that I learned of The Pilots Psalm, a beautiful version of the 23rd Psalm. I chose this Pilot's Psalm for my mother's funeral as she, and my father, loved sailing, and my Dad was in the Merchant Navy. So, this little... More

I walk past this church every day but occasionally I go in. It's very peaceful. I just sit and take in the feeling of history and the lives of the people who used this church. When my son was six, he stood at the lecturn and read from the book (Bible?). Kids love it as there are model ships on... More

Peaceful, welcoming and historical. Really quaint church with some nice pictures and sail boat models with a feeling of history which was moving. Nice volunteer inside ready to answer questions or make tea. Lovely building.

A friendly welcome awaits you with tea or coffee when they are open. Opening times are limited but worth the trip if you are in the area if you like history. Learn about the young boys who lived in the rooms upstairs and the way people lived 100+ years ago. A small forgotten part of Ramsgates past. Only 15 min... More

That there was a little church within the harbour precincts at Ramsgate when it was a busy fishing port is perhaps not surprising. That it is still very much in use is more so. This is a quirky little place - half church half mini-museum that is open pretty much all the time during the summer months and for services... More

Visit this small church and learn what Smacks were and what the Smack Boys did, very interesting in discovering a bit of Ramsgate history. The Sailors’ Church and Harbour Mission, close by the foot of Jacob’s Ladder was built in 1878 by Canon Eustace Brenan, vicar of the nearby Christ Church, lot more history to be found here.
