Go on a little adventure with our Day Trip To France and drive off the ferry at Calais to enjoy a whole day away with your family and friends to explore the true beauty of France. Calais and the Hauts-de-France region of northern France are just a 90 minute ferry journey from Dover which means that you can be enjoying your day trip in no time at all, and even though it is often just thought of as the gateway to France this area has a lot to offer its day trip guests.

We used this service to cross from Dover to Calais. We upgraded to the Premium Lounge and was initially surprised that it was so empty. It soon became obvious why - it offered very poor value for money. The service and facilities were very poor

Travelled from Calais to Dover, and paid for Upper Deck service. David was extremely pleasant, drink and food very good. On arrival in Dover, we "Foot passengers" were transported in a bus to end of terminal, which saved us a long walk.More

We go to France all the time, shopping is nicer with huge food halls, cheaper prices too. I recommend taking a car as Calais it self is a bit run down, not an awful lot to see there. Just outside there is beautiful countryside and...More

Nothing to write home about, what I’d expect from a ferry crossing to France. Ridiculously expensive food and drink prices, some decks smelt of urine, riding on the outer deck cures that problem, slow queuing to board, much faster on return journey, duty free not...More

All the P&O ferries are maintained to a high standard for facilities. On night crossing not all facilities are available. Recommend the brasserie for a relaxing meal.
