Very Nice to See!

We walked along the river and enjoy the beauty of the flowers and the riverbed. It is a great place to relax and take in the beauty of the day.

I was walking through the other day and the gardens themselves are really nice, took some good photos but it's just the people that hang around are not so nice, they're quite dodgy and does not give the garden a good vibe

Despite the municipal style of planting it remains well worth a visit, plenty of areas to take stock and reflect watching the river go slowly past. Take a good book and spend a couple of hours you will not regret it,

Been here in May and the weather eas amazing. We were able to sit here in front of the water and relax under the sun. We spent some time walking around and the garden was well maintained. I will suggest to pass through here if you are in Canterbury.

Lovely walk to wander along the riverside. Beautiful gardens that are well stocked & cared for. Brilliant play area if you have little ones with you.

Other reviews spoke of "drinkers" but we only saw one group of 4 men chatting and drinking cans of ale. They didn't bother us or even seem to notice us. The garden is beautiful and surprisingly quiet. Ladies with babies in strollers were present, so it did not strike us as unsafe. Of course, we were there in the morning.... More

Beautiful gardens away from the main streets. Nice walk along the river. Plenty of flowers and herb gardens. We spotted several gardeners working hard to maintain the area. An all round beautiful little gem.

Beautiful gardens with peaceful walkways alongside the river. Lots of flowers in bloom in May. A peaceful sanctuary alongside a bustling city.

Went for a walk in the Westgate Gardens. It is difficult to explain but the atmosphere was calm, relaxing and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. The flowers etc were lovely and well cared. There is also the opportunity to go on a boat trip on the river if you so wish.
