Lovely little museum on the main road in Canterbury. If you want to see some amazing architecture and a very old fascinating building for just a few quid give this place a visit. It is still a working Chapple with a very long history. You...More

Eight hundred years of history. A simple and interesting place to visit, with free written guides given out at the entrance. Another fascinating piece of Canterbury's history.

We thought it was a hospital but it actually is the place poor people could spend the night on their pilgrimage, before paying tribute to the shrine of St. Thomas Beckett in the Cathedral the following day. The entrance fee is only £3 but then...More

This historic site is small, but for anyone interested in the history it should absolutely be a must visit. Admittance is very inexpensive, and the employees/volunteers are extremely knowledgable and I would highly recommend asking them questions about the history of the hospital.
