we were staying in the beautiful Pembridge so could take our time exploring-Weobley is a must to visit- the village trail is so interesting-also an old castle site-a lot to see at Eardisland- just so nice driving through these stunning villages-also some amazing walks.

Keep away from Pembridge during the day - it is seriously spoilt by HGVs going at great speed through the village. Woebly in the evening is very pleasnt for a stroll and a meal in the Salutation pub

This is a beautiful drive and some wonderful buildings and gardens. A favourite of ours for many years. Sadly Herefordshire roads are now in such a terrible condition that you really need a heavy duty 4x4 to do this trial.

Spent a good many hours following the trail, avoiding Leominster. Lots of the villages and black and white buildings are very small but for us Pembridge and Eardisland stood out. You do need to get out of the car, especially in these two places, and...More

We did enjoy most of this trail, although some of the villages listed had no black and white buildings but perhaps just a church. Stopping to park and capture the atmosphere was difficult in a few, but we thoroughly enjoyed it, and managed to take...More

We were at staying in Weobley, one of the villages on the trail. We followed the "prescribed" route in reverse - first to Dilwyn then Eardisland, Pembridge, Kington and Eardisley. All are interesting in their own ways but some are definitely better than others. For...More

We were staying in one of the 'Black and White' villages, Pembridge, and had picked up a leaflet in Leominster Tourist Information centre, but were then offered a CD of an audio tour of the trail. The audio tour, was OK, but we decided afterwards...More
