Southampton has many memorials and memory's of the ill fated TITANIC but the Engineer Officer Memorial in East Park is, perhaps, the most impressive. If travelling by rail, leave the staion by Platform 1 and turn right. This will lead you up to the imposing Civic Centre. Keep to the left of the building and at the junction turn right... More

Made us sad looking at this. Remembering the brave souls who stayed at their post while the ship went down. This tribute is beautifully done and a fitting memorial. The kids turned very reflective for a while after this and the nearby cenotaph.

A beautiful Monument to to many lives that were lost when he Titanic sank. Many of the crew were from Southampton and this took a heavy toll on the local population at the time

Southampton's connection to the titanic is world famous, there is growing speculation as to the true nature of the titanics titanic accident \ disaster, as people (Gradually) become more aware that the majority of us live in a sugar coating dream world manipulated through censored media (I type in censored and media instantly appears in predictive text) and realise that... That place is very near to the bus stop which name is cenotap (may be). So you can walk around and see that memorial place easily.

The only memorial that I know of in commemorating the professionalism and sacrifice given by the Titanics Engineer Officers - ALL of whom stayed at their posts and sank with the vessel. True professionalism in the face of grave diversity which should never be forgotten. Worth visiting while you are in Southampton.

This is a well maintained memorial for the engineers of the Titanic and a reminder of how dangerous our seas can be. Don't forget the Musicians memorial just around the corner too.

We found this attractive memorial and garden while exploring Southampton. We are both very interested in the Titanic story and had recently been to the Titanic exhibition in the Sea City museum so we were very pleased to find this memorial. It is best viewed from the pavement as it faces outward, over the road.
