This is an interesting cemetery just to stroll around - there are interesting grave stones - some of them commemorating Titanic victims, or sailors or local dignatories. They also keep part of the cemetery "fallow" so there are wild flowers, wild garlic, green woodpeckers and...More

Although not right in the middle of Southampton the cemetery is a centre for the Dead, as with most cemeteries this place is tranquil and interesting, the gravestones tell short, interesting stories and the lichens are as ancient as the stones.

Been a few times to visit some old family graves up there and all ways found it a nice quiet peaceful area to walk round. Also a family member contacted someone there about a family grave and they found them very helpful.

Lots of interesting grave stones here on your way along the main path to the Common. There are many graves from the titanic which are marked with blue sticks. There is also a Commonwealth war memorial.
