The fort Nelson attraction is or was free to enter. and worth a look.they have catering facilities on site

A great place to sit and take in the views on a good day you can see the isle of Wight, Southampton, Portsmouth, Gosport and Hayling Island. Places to sit good car park and burgers to die for at the burger van,

Forget paying to go up the Spinnaker Tower for views of the city and beyond take a drive or the bus up to Portsdown Hill. You can drive the whole length from Bedhampton to Fareham. Stop off at the pubs (the historic George or the...More

Fabulous views over Portsmouth and the harbour. Great for watching ships come and go, not just within the harbour, but the Solent as well. Not much in the way of car parking or facilities - hence the lower "star rating"

I saw this and went with my daughter a very small car park fee was all it cost. The views were amazing over the Solent the poppy wave sculpture was a delight to see. It was very well attended by an army of volunteers. Well...More
