Nice walk with a free museum but they do like donations , please feel free to feed the ducks etc but with only seed as bread encourages rats

No need to drive out to Westonbirt – if you can get to Stroud, a visit to its park – a 19th-century mini-arboretum on the edge of the town, is also wonderfully rewarding at present. The collection of specimen trees are in the most dramatic autumn colours – best for many years thanks to recent chilly nights and so much... More

Visited here with my sister and her partner. The weather was sunny and the distinct start of autumn was felt in the air. Not the most massive of parks, but was large enough to enjoy exploring the woodlands, a moderately sized lake (with ducks and swans) and to see a museum that is near the centre of the park (free... Acts mainly as a shortcut from top car park to shops. A haunt for those who eat and drink on the hoof.

Took my grandchild here to feed the ducks, popped to tescos for bread first , she loved it, even walked round the grounds which was stunning, seen lots of squirrels running around , we loved it. Had a really lovely couple of hours and all free. I would highly recommend , ideal place to take the kiddies.

Pond with swans and ducks, paved walkways and plenty of benches. There are several trails through the woods which I love to walk through on a hot day. There is The Museum in the Park to visit, and once a month in summer there is a miniature railway running through the park...in the winter you can walk down the tracks!... More

Took a lovely stroll around the lake in the early evening and saw plenty of ducks and swans and even a couple of bats flying around over the water catching insects.

A very nice park to go and relax. A little bit more could be done with it though. I also think the fishing pond could be made to look a bit more attractive.
