Glorious views from the top on a clear day. I was surprised I could see the Severn estuary. There are several circular walks that also go to Beacon so walks of any length are available.

What a great panoramic view well worth the visit and walk up to the Beacon.
Its proximity to the golf course is close thus be very aware of golf balls - my only concern for walkers. However, it does depend on your direction of approach to the beacon.

We walked up through the pretty Painswick town. Excellent view in all directions from the Beacon at the top. Gloucester, the Malvern, Brecon Beacons even.

A stunning panoramic view of the countryside. Certainly worthy the 5 min walk from the car park! Recommended visit.

An all time local favourite that has good walking ground and a variety of paths thus not boring if you’ve been before, well worth the trip to get a birds eye view of the county.

Recommended by our hotel manager, we visited in a sunny day and it was fantastic!
Take a professional camera if you can as the view from above - easy to walk - is superb!

On a clear day you can see forever! You can see, in the North East Cheltenham and Cleeve Hill, North is Tewkesbury and its Abbey, the Clee Hills and the Malvern Hills.
To the West Gloucester, the Forest of Dean, Brecon Beacons, Hay Bluff.
To the South the river Severn and both of the Severn Bridges.
On a very clear day Dunkerry Beacon.
To the East the tip of the spire of Bisley church is just above the horizon

We loved this walk. The views were spectacular on a beautifully sunny, clear day. Stay left of the obvious path as you approach the wood to go over the top of the golf course (rather than through a small wood and past a quarry yard), which we did on the way back and it was even more lovely.
