Painswick Rococo Garden is a unique 18th century garden set in a hidden valley with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Painswick Rococo Garden was designed in the 1740s as an English country gentleman's pleasure garden, a place for holding intimate garden parties. Laid out in a hidden valley around Painswick House, the Garden is now the country's only complete surviving rococo garden. Since 1984, an ambitious restoration programme has transformed the Garden from a woodland wilderness into a stunning place to escape the busy world. Enjoy beautifully-framed views or snuggle in one of the fanciful garden buildings. Battle to find the centre of the unusual maze and enjoy homemade food in the cafe afterwards. The Garden is famous for its snowdrop displays in winter, usually February

Just a short drive out of Painswick the Rococo Gardens are well worth a visit. Amazing selection of flowers, veg, buildings and fun (do try the seesaw).

As a local, I have known about the Rococo garden for years, and have visited it several times, but have always considered it a venue for adults, not children. However, I took my 10 year-old grand-daughter in February, as I had never seen the snowdrops,...More

I love this place; a real feel of practical history and the perfect place for a reflective wander (when the snowdrops have flowered). Very friendly and welcoming with an excellent cafe for an informal lunch. There is a large car park, immaculate loos and they...More

Well signposted from the main road - ignore sat nav. A good couple of hours to walk round and see the gardens. Great tea room and very reasonable plant sales.

I wish we had time to visit the cafe as it looked lovely. Gardens are very beautiful on a sunny day, lots to look at.

Really lovely gardens, great to walk around and enjoy. Whilst we were there, they had actors perfuming various acts form Twelfth Night at various points in gardens. Definitely worth going back for a second visit. The café is great, tasty food and very reasonable.

Lovely stroll through flowers and ponds and views. Also fruit trees and vegetable garden, sculptures and surprising buildings and plenty of benches if you need a rest. Pleasant cafe for lunch

Pleasantly surprised at how nice it was here; so neat, so many different features, really pleased we went. The kids had a bit of a Quiz hunt and they were kept busy.
