Fairly recent National CAMRA Pub of the year winner, seemingly in decline. On the market, it is understood. Reflected in lack ofatmosphere. The proprieter is monosyllabic. You will be lucky to get a grunt out of him by way of a welcome. Most of his...More

Well EByGum, welcome to TripAdvisor and congratulations on your first review Although you are local to the pub you might have missed the great range of well kept real ales, the 16 craft kegs, the 100+ bottled beers, the 3 Festivals so far this year,...More

Nestled amongst residential houses, it's easy to miss the tardis that is the Sandford Park Alehouse. Wonderful range of ales and also wines. Inside there is a cosy feel, as well as a large garden, very useful for this crazy summer of ours! We always...More

Had two excellent visits to the Sandford . Service is good and polite. However, it is the quality of the food and the range of beers that are excellent. The beer garden also makes the Sandford a real joy.

Well set up traditional pub with loads of keg and hand pulled beers and some lagers. No nonsense decor which will not detract from your quaffing and large garden to sit out in at the back.

Sorry you had a problem finding a seat. The upstairs should have been opened if the staff knew that more seating was required. If it ever happens again please ask!

Great pub with friendly staff who look after their beers well. Always a decent rotation of beers on with a few core ones always on. As a plus not a traditional sports pub they are so show the six nations on the two TVs upstairs...More

Really nice ale house run by pleasant people. If you like real ale served very well then this is a great place to go. Personally, I feel they are so close to embracing the craft beer revolution that it's a shame they don't go the...More

I presume you missed the 16 keg taps at the back of the bar. Of these 16 there's always a Deya beer on, usually Steady Rolling Man. Purity Longhorn is a fixture, Timmermans Kriek, often craft keg from Arbor, Bristol Beer Factory, Siren ... Bring...More
