- Omnivore94127San Francisco, California83 contributionsMakes "Carry On up the Khyber" look like Berthold BrechtAstonishing. Horrific. Vulgar, vile and unfunny. The cultural equivalent of watching someone defecating in public. The highest forms of wit were the innuendos and puns. I have to say that Tweedy (the cat) was a wonderful clown. But having to work with that material was painful and embarrassing. I am about as broad-minded as anyone I know, but this performance was obscenely biological with no subtlety or real humor of any kind (with the exception of Tweedy). Constant references to ejaculation, semen was the staple fodder, and of course there was only reason why they chose Dick Wittington... as a vehicle for as many dick jokes as possible. I shall certainly never go again. Makes "Carry On up the Khyber" look like Berthold Brecht. The following week we went to see the Oxford panto. That was lovely. Exactly as it should be.Visited December 2022Written 5 January 2023
- Cherriesfan99Cheltenham, United Kingdom845 contributionsBeautiful buildingExcellent show ( a Beautiful Noise- Neil Diamond tribute act). The theatre itself is elegant with very good sighting from the seating. Although the balcony itself is high, and the seating rows steep. Lavishly decorated, it is an attractive building outside and particularly the auditorium. I do have some concerns of the time taken to leave the theatre, particularly from the upper floors - if there was an emergency it could have some consequencesVisited February 2023Written 11 February 2023

- Supercook4 contributionsGreat Show - disappointing restaurant!Went to see the Bodyguard which was an amazing show however we were also booked for pre show lunch in the restaurant. That only warranted 2 Stars! Very disappointed with the meal from start to finish. The waiting staff tried their best but I was embarrassed for them having to bring excuse after excuse to us. I’d booked for a group of 20 so I was mortified by the whole experience. I let my group down and the restaurant manager let me down. Saying chefs hadn’t turned up and he had to cook for the cafe which takes drop ins over those who have booked in advance is not on! Would attend shows again but not eat there!Visited August 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 5 September 2023

Only ever been here twice and both times has been pleasurable a lovely area to chill before your show serves food and drink

We went to see Sister Act. It was a matinee and full audience. It was brilliant, lively funny and great music. I loved it. Nice theatre and it is the first time I have been.

I went to the Everyman for the first time with my friend, she had been before and kept saying you must go.
We went to see the Full Monty, I booked seats B1 and B2 in the circle, these seats were roughly £90 not cheap. I would say 50% of the show was positioned to the left of the stage, the actors would walk to the left of the stage, we could hear them but not see what was happening, it was a very good show, what we could see of it.
My friends daughter booked a ticket at the last moment, she sat 3 seats away from us and could see everything, she paid a few pounds more, if I had known the problem I would not have Booked those seats.
I must say the theatre is lovely inside.

Went to see Celine tribute (Friday 27th May23), got there just gone 7pm, was sent to the Bar !!! (did I say we were there for a Drink!!!) instead of being able to go to our seats.
which we only allowed to go to 5 ,minutes before show started.
The show started 5 mins late !!
While the singer was good, she certantly didn't sound like Celine in lots of her songs, The backing group looked more like they were out for a night in the pub, certaintly didn't make an effort !!! They were contantly having problems with there equipment !!! and talking to people behind the curtains.
On top of this we were on our way home in the car by 9.25 .
Our first visit to this venue, Not sure we will bother Again .

Everyman makes it IMPOSSIBLE to "gift" tickets to a family member! Customer Service is less than helpful, rigid, and uncompromising. You need to take off your left "arm" to do the exchange. Prices are are "highway robbery"! I will never visit this theater again!

Visit twice in Feb/March. Fantastic seats and shows and doesn’t feel too claustrophobic like many theatres! Already booked our next show!

Is viewing going to be ok for a child on the back rows of the balcony?
I am visiting my grand daughter and have just viewed that you have Easter performances but as I am booking late and can only attend 14.00 performances it seems these are the only seats left. Unfortunately I fly back home sat. 7 th . Thank you

Sorry for the delay in responding. I would imagine that this may be difficult for a young child. Best to contact the theatre for affirmation. Best wishes, Tina

Where do you recommend parking to visit the theatre?

You can park in the Regent Arcade car park, accessible from Regent Street (opposite "MooMoo" nightclub). You have to drive up several stories via a rather tight, and in my view rather tiresome spiral ramp. Once up there you can park after 5.30pm for £2.50 and there is a direct link from the car park (near the pay machine) to the theatre building. It's particularly convenient for events in The Studio. Alternatively you can often park for free on Montpellier Street, Montpellier Spa Road or Montpellier Parade, about a 5 minute walk away.

Could anyone please tell me where are the best seats in the theatre for a good view?
Many thanks

The main auditorium is steeply tiered and all the seats I've had have very good views. Personally I like to sit right up front so I can see the expressions on the actors' faces!
