What a beautiful church with a holy and peaceful atmosphere. The interior has a real Mediterranean feel with its beautiful icons and marble and is a lovely surprise when you enter - not what you would expect to find in a country town.

Lots of Italian style marble and an interesting alter with statues of the Madonna, St Anthony and mother and child. Very restful. See the stations of the cross.

In amongst the houses, this looks tiny from the outside. It is currently undergoing some buiding work but you can still access and view the inside. Some stunning marble at the pulpit and alter, with beautiful art and stained glass adorning the walls.

This tiny church is very quiet and peaceful. Has white/black-dark green marble just like St. Antony's basilica and in a beautiful area of Rye.

Beautiful in every respect a wonderful Spanish-Romanesque design. This church may not be ancient in physical existence but it certainly is spiritually. The Church of Augustine, of Thomas a Becket; it seems to reflect the struggle of the Roman Catholic faith that managed to survive...More

Gorgeous small church, unexpectedly mediterranean. Not to be missed - any time, but especially if you can visit on a sunny day when the light touches the gold.
