If you get to Rye then pop along to the castle and have a look around, its very small and very old - built in the 1200's - but if you are lucky you will get a talkative steward who will talk your socks off...More

Quiet day out with the kids. Small but fun to explore. Felt like our very own castle! Good information and great location.

This is only a quick visit but was made very interesting. Including some of the history of smuggling. Nice views from promenade.

There are two museums - One in the castle itself and the other is in the town as a whole well worth a visit very interesting but a lot of walking and steps!

Rye castle may be small, but never the less it is very impressive and you can get sone great views of the coubtryside beyond. Near the castle you will find a nice garden to wander about and a good pub. I recommend visting here.

It’s a cute little castle with a lot of history, but because it’s so little I’m not sure I would recommend it. There are a few activities inside, but those don’t make your visit worthwhile. Can go if you want, but wouldn’t make it a...More

Went to Rye on a well earned break with my husband had been before, lovely quirky town. Rye castle museum was worth the visit. Guide was very informative with the history. Lovely area stayed at Flakley Ash Spa brilliant weekend.
