Really interesting pre-reformation remains over a substantial area. Excellent interpretation boards. The route from the train station through the town is picturesque if steep on the way back. Best of all, it's FREE. Just make sure that you don't get run over. Lewes has more...More

We visited this place on a trip to Lewes. The kids liked running around and we enjoyed reading the information boards. It is a beautiful place and great that it’s in a public park and free to access and enjoy,

For such a small town, there is SO much history in Lewes. A visit to the priory ruins is definitely in order - they are quite run-down when compared to other places like Arundel (which is altogether not very run-down at all), but worth visiting.
