On a recent visit to Lewes we chanced upon these lovely peaceful gardens with a view of the castle. The Sussex Guild shop and gallery in the grounds was well worth a visit.

Its a perfect place to sit and visit the cafe, the flowers are breathtaking. The colours and mixture of flowers are incredible. A really magical spot, set in beautiful grounds with a view of the castle. Don't think there can be another garden like it...More

A beautiful garden, with formal flower beds, modern sculpture and hidden nooks. A popular place to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet or take in the gardens. You need to go and explore as it is not immediately obvious how far the gardens stretch....More

When I visited there wasn't much colour but the pampas grass was beautiful. Little spots of pink here & there along with some hellebores let you know spring was not far away

A popular place but still quite peaceful. Fab for a picnic or group gathering, and lovely to wander around. Be sure to pop into the Sussex Guild shop - some amazing crafts by some talented artists.
