We saw Nell Gwynn on the 7th October. A really good performance from the cast with some very strong and witty acting. This is a very small theatre but angle of the seating makes sure that everyone gets a good view. The team who run...More

We saw David Copperfield performed by a youth theatre group. The theatre is small and intimate and the seating is steeply sloped so everyone gets a good view. There's a pleasant bar and a reasonable sized car park.

This place is brilliant. A warm welcome, a cheap bar and really outstanding work performed by an entirely amateur - or, more accurately, 'unpaid professional' - cast and backstage team. Very highly recommended.

We have been here a number of times, its a lovely theatre. It does not matter where you sit you will have a good view. The drinks and snacks are affordable. There is free oarking if you get there early.

This is a cute theatre that is not too big but very cosy and shows a variety of local shows both professional and amateur dramatic. Most of the staff that work here are volunteers and do a great job for this charitable society. The car...More

Thanks very much for your review and glad you enjoyed The Stables. Everyone involved in running the theatre - apart from the cleaners - are volunteers!

I've been to a number of performances at the Stables over the past 15 or so years. Most recently I saw a hilarious performance of 'Jeeves and Wooster: Perfect Nonsense', with a cast of just three playing all the parts, which had the audience in...More

I have seen a couple of good productions her and been impressed by the set up in what was once a stable block. It is a fair way out of the town centre but do not let that put you off. The building is clean,...More
