We are just a short walk from the train Station, in the North Laine area of Brighton. We love to help individuals or groups spend an hour or two in our fun creative environment. You can choose from 100s of ceramic items to paint or try your hand at throwing a pot. Everyone, no matter their age or ability, enjoys their experience and has something handmade and unique to show for it. If you are not local then we can post your items or you can use acrylic paints for decorative pieces and take away the same day. We also hold exhibitions from local makers and artists. Booking advisable.

Such a lovely environment to be in, I very much enjoyed the ‘breakfast set’ pottery workshop I recently joined. I highly recommend going along to either paint a piece or becoming a little more involved with having a go at throwing.

Thank you for your comments Lucy. We are always happy to hear how new potters enjoy the experience. When you get a chance please send a photo of your breakfast set in situ - they always look even better in their home environment!

My daughters birthday party was expertly hosted by the ladies at the painting pottery cafe. We booked15 little ones in for 2 hrs and they had had the best time. Staff were friendly and capable and the plates the children made turned out fabulously. Lovey.

We attended a “taster throwing session” with Alma as our teacher/guide. It was SO much fun and Alma was really friendly and an excellent teacher. Would love to return for an evening class and would definitely recommend this activity to others!
