There seem to be more restaurants, cafes and coffee shops than I remember. Years ago there seemed to be more quirky and antique shops here, perhaps The Lanes have move on - they seem to be quite respectable now. Still a fun place to wander.

The are lots of Brightons: the brash successful seaside down, sophisticated hove, historic spa and the bohemian Lanes. The Lanes is a great insight into why Brighton is a creative capital. It’s amazing range of independent stores and eateries shows how exciting main streets can...More

This area contains a great variety of shops ,restaurants and pubs. Walking around made us feel like we had gone back in time. The victory bar is a great place to stop for a refreshment while touring the area.

A fun place to stroll and do some shopping and walking around. The restaurants in the area are good too. Just wished the shops stayed open a bit longer, especially during the summer night.

Always wanted to wander around the lanes of Brighton, but was a little disappointed. Felt it needed a good scrub! There was litter all over the place too. We did a lot of window shopping for diamonds though!

A warren of vendors for all interests, each lane offers broad selections of shops, food and art. Definitely worth ambling through.

Lovely quaint area to get a sense of Brighton's past but leave your shopping and coffee for when you visit the Laine's just across North road.

Quaint, but too many jewellery shops! A few photo opportunities and some sweet looking cafes though. :-) I preferred The Shambles in York.

Yes most definitely and people are friendly and helpful if needing direction. There is a map of the lanes opp The Breakfast Club which by the way is very good for breakfast 😊

There are a number of good ones, so hard to pick just one, some have some great cakes in the window so you can gage it from that, enjoy
