The food is always good, staff polite, situation awesome. Shame they open late, at least a dozen people waiting and fifteen minutes late in opening.

This is part of the south downs with views across the Sussex countryside for miles. There is a car park and a pub which is good for lunch

This hidden gem is just 30 minutes drive out of Hove and Brighton. Relaxing place to walk and have a picnic. Nice pub on top of the hill is a plus.

Devil's Dyke is a wonderful place for everyone at all fitness levels except wheelchair users who can sit and take in the beautiful views or take refreshment at the Devil's Dyke Tavern. Ideal place for gliding, kite flying and walking.

Well worth walking around the perimeter of this raised area overlooking Brighton and The Downs. Car park is a bit expensive but there is a nice pub at the top worth visiting too.

On a clear day the views are amazing up here. The bit we love is just chilling watching the para gliders coast along around you. Lovely place. Plenty of pay and display parking or bus from brighton sea front takes you straight there.

I believe it is £2 for all day and free for national trust members . Very good value but if you fancy a walk you can park before you get to the Dyke and walk up as there is a path that's shared with cyclists. Fabulous... More
