I only end up going to the museum when we have guests and even then we don't go that often! I'm not sure why as I always enjoy it every time I go. Even exhibits that have been there for years retain their interest. It's...More

Quite interesting and right beside the Royal Pavilion. It is free for locals but you have to show proof of address.

We were at the Victoria and Albert Museum the day before, and the comparison with this much smaller museum showed what a well-curated and interesting collection Brighton has in this facility. The collections of furniture and fashion were intriguing, the local-history segment was, too, and...More

Not only does this venue get interesting exhibitions its permanent collection is excellent. It is relaxed and friendly with an interesting shop which is worth looking in for unusual presents.

I didn't actually go in this museum as time wouldn't allow. But I spent a lot of time wandering around just admiring the building which in it'self is wonderful. Many people were taking photo's just because of the Museums setting.

Not a huge museum, but has a decent range of exhibits on art & history, from Brighton and around the world. It is set in the beautiful Pavilion gardens which are a must-see.

Entering the museum you are struck by the very swish gift shop , then enter the main hall with 20th century art and design not unlike any other museum. Such as the itty bitty rooms given over to bits of ancient Egypt seem a waste...More
