    The real deal
My husband loves the Quadrophenia film and, on a visit to Brighton, wanted to see the alley and visit the shop. We had a great time talking to the owner about the film and history of the location and being a local brought up in Brighton, the owner shared some great stories with us. We exchanged memories of our music experiences and what a lovely experience to visit, shop and enjoy the best of our music culture. Will visit again.

Quadrophenia was a movie made in the late 70's about Mods in Brighton. One of the locations of the movie was an alleyway just off the seafront. There is a blue plaque commemorating this location and you can wander up and down the alleyway if you want to. There is lots of graffiti on the walls. Next to the alleyway is a store called Quadrophenia Alleyway. This store sells lots of Mod and Northern Soul clothes with tops, trousers and jackets available. They also sell accessories like badges, wallets and tie clips. Well worth hunting down a little piece of Brighton history.

    Quadrophenia
Quadrophenia is one of my most favorite films and so I was greatly looking forward to stopping by Quadrophenia Alley on our most recent visit to Brighton. John, the shop owner, was very engaging and generous with his time. We will definitely come back next time we're in Brighton. Cheers - Stephen & Trish

Loved it! Classic that can easily be missed without using Google maps. Great for any film or music fan especially mods, The Who and Quadrophenia fans obviously. Great photography opportunities too.

Stumbled across this alleyway, interest reading some of the writings but not sure if it is art in any shape or form.

Brighton, the mecca for all Mods including me. Visiting Quadrophenia Alley was not only a teenage (of30 odd years ago) but inspirational as an artist. Memories of a lost soul was created here and can be bought from the fb page ART BY OLEK.

As alleys go this really wasnt very special....but we can say we went there! It's obvious the graffiti is regularly cleaned off...glad we didn't spend ages creating a masterpiece 😉

To be back in the place that Jimmy found fullfiment of his quest to better know Steaph was cool. I had been there before almost 40 years ago. The alley has shrunk or I've got faster.

We were actually looking for another shop when we came across this little gem, it was very exciting to see something so iconic as to where a part of such a brilliant film had been filmed, gutted that it's full of graffiti why cant people respect property. I still enjoyed it though, love the shop so much stuff to buy to celebrate the Mods.
