We had lovely walk on the beach. It is huge and plenty of snack bars and restaurant to visit. The weather was lovely so we stayed for almost one day, plenty things to do around

With a huge tourist population I have to say the beach is very clean for the amount of foot traffic and sun bathers it has every day. Lovely walk from Madeira drive right down to the outskirts of shoreham. Colourful and vibrant. Just as Brighton...More

The beach front at Brighton beach is busy and vibrant with lots going on. If you walk down to the beach level there are a variety of different entertainments on offer from art galleries and restaurants to live music shows. There’s also a small funfair...More

We enjoyed a stroll along the beach. There's loads going on and plenty of small businesses offering coffee, food, drinks, bike hire etc under the arches. It a bustling, lively place to visit.

Love Brighton-loads to do whatever the weather. Shame about The pebbly beach. Had to laugh at the ‘imported ‘ children’s sandpit. Coals to Newcastle!! Also my other complaint is the serious lack of rock shops. We walked from the BT Tower right along the beach...More

Brighton beach is really lovely. It has a lovely back drop of white cliffs. There is always someone picking rubbish up to keep it clean. The only downside is the stoney beach, really sore on your feet. Best take some beach shoes before you go.

A must see for nostalgia, quirky shops and stall and some amazing sea food. A nice walk at night or day; live musicand restaurants. Goes well with the pier and is free.

You can get snowfall the further north you go so Manchester would be the better option. It does snow in Brighton but cannot be guaranteed.
