This is no Bournemouth or Blackpool beach real sand. No sandcastles just black pebbles. Running across the beach is hard work. Walking along the promenade is different. Lots of nice places. My favourite the old slot machines. Not the noisy electric stuff. Bagattels with marbles...More

Wrap up warm for a leisurely walk on the pathway by the beach. Get away from the busy roads and promenade packed with locals and tourists. The beach walk would be crowded and shops and stalls doing a roaring trade in the summer.

A beautiful stroll with family along this iconic stretch of beach on a cool wintery morning. Must say it’s strange to see pebbles and not sand but this place would be humming in summer I bet. Enjoyed our morning.

Sorry but I'm just not a fan of the pebbles. I like beaches you can walk along, and this one is just impossible. It is worth seeing and taking some photos of but not for me!

You can get snowfall the further north you go so Manchester would be the better option. It does snow in Brighton but cannot be guaranteed.
