About
As one of the United Kingdom's most famous beaches, Brighton Beach is busy all year round. Cool off in the nippy waters in the summer, or take a stroll along the pebbled shore on a chilly winter's afternoon. Kids and adults alike will love amusement rides at Palace Pier, while the futuristic i360 offers views from 450ft high. You can't go wrong tucking into classic British fish and chips, but there is an assortment of casual and contemporary dining options to choose from. Top it off with an ice cream cone from one of the colorful kiosks that line the shore. – Tripadvisor

    Nice beach…
Huge shingle beach that is clean & well patrolled by staff on quad bikes + Lifeguards in the season. During our visit to Brighton it was too cold for laying on the beach or swimming but I’m sure given the weather it would be really nice. The beach did look to shelve steeply in parts so maybe not suitable for children.

    Clean and beautiful
A clean beach with excellent views. Lots of space to sunbathe and swim in the sea. There are lots of attractions along the seafront and plenty of places to eat. Just a shame about the pebbles! Overall, it’s a classic place to go :)

    Beautiful city!!
It’s a marvelous place to spend the day. 1.15 hours from London by train. Pintoresque, colorful, lovely colour of water. Beaches are not sand but big pebbles which makes it very special though not the greatest to lie on. Have been twice and would definitely repeat

    Brighton
Brighton is feeling old and and tired. A lot of buildings are very grubby. Parking is very expensive and varies from one street to another in terms of timed restrictions. On one street I have to move the car at certain times of day which interrupts the whole day. Every town in Sussex seems to use a different parking app. I parked at ‘Brighton airport’ downloaded another app and paid. I still ended with a fine. I grew up here but won’t be back

    A Must-visit
Brighton is a wonderful place to visit with the beach and the shops. The seaside restaurants are very good and there are scores of shops catering for everyone. I highly recommend a day trip to Brighton form London or even a longer stay in Brighton

Beach front and pier as expected this time of yesr but off the beach we encountered quite a few beggars. It was upsetting to see so many homeless but a bit intimidating having numerous approach us for money. More so as it grew dark. Not really a place for a lone traveller.

    Extremely busy
So much going on here! Quieter by the water but absolutely no seating at all near the bars but as expected. Everyone seemed very pleasant and friendly which made for a nice atmosphere. The beach is huge but the part we experienced was near the old pier

    Just perfect for long walks
We`ve booked a 2 night stay in late October and although it was quite cold and we`ve got caught in a shower, it is just the best, if you love the Seaside. It was just prefect for us as it wasnt crowded and we could go for long walks. We`ve had a lil stormy weather as well, which was fascinating with the big waves and everything. Worth going in autumn.

    Glorious Views
Brighton Beach is on the south coast of England and it is easy to find if you are in the city. Just head South! The beach itself is very pebbly so walking on it is a challenge. Plus if you want to build a sandcastle you will be very disappointed! Close to the beach there are plenty of things to see. There are museums, the pier, art galleries, sculptures, shops, cafes and bars. It is nice to have a wander alongside the beach and take in all the different things going on. I happened to be on the beach at about Midday and the sun was shining brightly in the sky and there were some wonderful views across the seafront. Highly recommended on your visit to Brighton.

    Meanwhile Down At The Beach
It’s beautiful to escape London, and Brighton is a lovely place for the day. Book your off-peak tickets in advance, and you can travel cheaply. Once in Brighton, head straight down to the sea. You could head to the deckchair section or choose any strip along the shoreline. Brighton is a chilled place, but it can get overcrowded on weekends. If you like crowds, head to Hove, which is down the road.

We were in Brighton for 4 days and visited this beach every day as the kids loved it so much and it was close to the apartment we were staying in. It is a shingle beach, but this seemed to make the kids love it more as they liked to look for different rocks and pebbles. It also means that you can sit on it without getting full of sand. There are many attractions, bars and restaurants next to the beach including the i360, the Upside Down House, The Fisherman’s Museum and the West Pier Museum, shops, playgrounds, huge sand pits, crazy golf, tennis courts and lots more right next to the beach. It also has an amusement pier. The main centre of Brighton and Hove and its shopping areas are also only across a road from the beach. It’s such a fun beach!!

It has lovely views!
However I have noticed that since I last went it had gotten even more expensive.
£23 parking for the day , £1 to get on the pier, £3/£8 each for the rides unless you buy the day band.

It was an amazing experience not just the beach but entire town is filled with colour and sound. However nowhere is wheelchair accessible. I can walk a little bit with a walking stick but there needs to be more drop curbs and especially on brighton pier no excuse for the toilets to be up a flight of stairs. Most pubs and cafes had underground stairs including the north laine bizarre which unfortunately we couldn't go down with a wheelchair. Best time of my life but my boyfriend is exhausted from lifting me up onto pavements and down steps. Not many disabled toilets anywhere really.

In a way, this isn't the nicest beach as there isn't any sound and it is entirely made up from pebbles. Once you get past this however it has lots going for it and we were really impressed.

Our main day down by the beach was absolutely beautiful weather and it felt like being in southern France! A real Continental feel to it with lots of excellent bars and restaurants of an independent type which line the promenade.

You can rent deck chairs, some people were paddle boarding and of course there is a pier. Something for everyone and a great place to spend a day all longer if the weather is good.

Brighton as a seaside resort is not bad but needs a lot of looking after a lot of its character is in disrepair, also near the beach saw about 13 rats scurrying about and that was in broad daylight. But loved the fish and chips.

Horrendous! Absolutely packed. Looks very neglected and rough. Definitely didn’t feel comfortable or relaxed at any point. RIP off car Parking charges too. Certainly won’t be going back during the summer.

We stayed for one night en route to France, expecting a nice old British seaside. Instead we found it to be grotty, dirty, overcrowded, incessant stench of weed, litter, few pleasant establishments. Even the Royal Pavilion looked tired and in need of a lift. Just a generally unpleasant place.

It’s nothing special it’s just okay. Better than a lot of English seafront’s but all in all still has a hint of tack to it and is quite boring. However, we did find a nice place to sit in the sun (fortunately it happened to be out) - The Brighton Zip bar + kitchen. Not the chattiest staff and wouldn’t recommend the food, but nice to sit in the sun and have a glass of wine.
