The abbey is absolutely stunning both inside and out. The stain glass windows are out of this world and there is a lovely memorial area for the Devon and Dorset regiment. Will definitely go back.

It is a beautiful church. It is a must see if you are visiting Sherborne. It is well cared for and has wonderful volunteers to help if you have questions.

Treated my grandchildren to a bit of my history visiting the abbey. Showed them all around including the choir room where from 7yrs - 15yrs I was a member, and head choirboy. Such a beautiful building.

We were fortunate enough to be able to attend a choral evensong service on the Sunday of our stay in Sherborne. A lovely choir, in a beautiful setting

Sherborne Abbey is perhaps one of the "undiscovered" masterpieces of English church architecture. I might be wrong here, but it doesn't tend to come up in conversations in the way that Salisbury or Wells cathedrals might. We were persuaded to visit by the animated enthusiasm...More
