We visted this Abbey on a walking tour of Sherbourne. (buy it from the tour office) The tour is great but the Abbey is without doubt the star of an architectural feast. Sherbourne is a beautiful town but if you see nothing elze visit the Abbey

This really is a beautiful Abbey. Staff were at hand to tell us specific things about the Abbey as well as answer our questions. We spent 30 minutes looking around.

Spent half-an hour touring Sherborne Abbey during a Christmas break - beautiful architecture and the resting place of Sir Thomas Wyatt, the Tudor poet.

I live near Sherborne having been a pupil at the Public School in the Sixties. I was confirmed in the Abbey so it has been part of my life for a very long time. To this day I love the view of it from the bottom of Digby Road, the feeling of comfort and tranquillity which emanate from it as... More
