Beautiful 26 acre Sculpture Park & Gardens, with Gallery cafe. Due to deep water NO CHILDREN UNDER 14 years of age and NO DOGS are allowed. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, hut bookings are from 10am to 4.45pm. Entry is £10 per person. The Gallery Cafe is now open serving tea, coffee, light meals, delicious cakes, cream tea's, ice creams etc., visitors can choose to eat inside, outside (at the newly created seating area), or take it out into the Sculpture Park using one of the picnic baskets provided, complete with rug. Visitors are able to enjoy the Gallery & Gallery Cafe without entry to the Sculpture Park. Described as one of the most beautiful & unique sculpture parks in the United Kingdom, Sculpture by the Lakes marries the soft beauty of nature's wild river landscape with the more formal presentation of monumental outdoor sculpture. It is that combination of art and landscape that inspires Sculpture by the Lakes.

We were out on the motorcyle when we spotted the signs for this place. We managed to park the bike on a shaded spot and headed for the Gallery Cafe where we both had a hot drink. Very friendly staff. We then changed out of...More

I visited this place when it was quite cold and wet underfoot but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Better still was a nice hot cup of tea in the restaurant. The sculptures are magnificent. Well worth a visit.

A lovely place to visit on a nice sunny day. This is a beautiful walk round lakes with interesting sculptures and lots of wildlife. The only thing that put me off was the large pylons nearby. The cafeteria is good but as previously mentioned there...More

Look up the sculptures online or look at the ones for sale in the gallery. If you like them, go inside. If you think they're kitschy and simplistic, don't pay ten pounds for the entrance fee.

Wasn't quite sure what to expect, but Mum is always up for adventures. The paths round the lake were fairly flat although as a nongenarian she is in the upper quartile. Missed a couple of the turns, you do need to pay attention to the...More

Sculpture by the Lakes is a hidden gem. The Lakes concept is brilliant. To give a sense of scale for some of the larger pieces is sublime. The feeling of happiness is evident in the way the landscape embraces each Sculpture. Inspiring. Even the kitchen...More

Dear Clare, I am afraid we do not allow dogs to visit Sculpture by the Lakes as the owners have a number of their own dogs, including three rescues who would be upset by visiting dogs.
