Thought a rainy day educational visit would be fun. The entrance price is a absolute rip off. In comparison to the Dorset museum on the other side of the road which is half the price and superb!! The exhibition itself is tired and so small. When we went a school trip was being run so we were all squashed together... More

The exhibition celebrates its 30th anniversary in April. We visited soon after it opened and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. However, a return visit last week left us gobsmacked at the changes to the layout. Early days there was so much intrigue, but the changes to cram in as much detail as possible in such a small building has made it... More

We paid £28 for a family ticket and annoyingly it is an extra £7 to visit the Mummies exhibition upstairs...not sure what they do this, it should be included. I thought it was a bit expensive for what it was. The exhibition is Ok - the information boards are a bit text heavy, especially for children, some good replica artefacts... More

I haven't visited this exhibition for some time and my return visit showed that nothing had changed. At nearly £30 for 1 adult and 2 children I expected a lot more. This is very poor value for money. The exhibition is small but should not have prevented the owners giving better value for the money paid. It covers the history... More

We were recommended to this exhibition and on arrival we winced at the cost of entrance. No concessions. The exhibition was small in a very small space. Too small and too dark. No doubt done for effect. All exhibits were replicas. Some interesting reading but too cramped to appreciate. What a shame, not worth the cost.

Daphne deserves a raise! She was very accommodating, friendly and efficient. Our questions were answered and she was very helpful. The exhibition was very detailed and informative. We learned a lot and our daughter was able to reinforce her/our knowledge from when she did the topic in school. It was interesting seeing canopic jars and artifacts. Value for money. I... More

Good descriptive texts to all the exhibits but it is a small exhibition and not worth the entrance fee. A group of 30 visiting primary school children made it very noisy. No concession prices for seniors. Web site offered discounted prices for on-line booking but then charged the full price. This could be a first class exhibition but needs a... More

The exhibition sounded great and some of it was very interesting, but basically, it's a collection of things in the style of Tutankhamun. The exhibition is quite cramped and our experience wasn't enhanced by a school group using much of the available space. The entrance fee was quite expensive and didn't feel to be good value.

Arrived at museum looking forward to it, as very interested in Egypt. Manager did not even look up or acknowledge us, despite stood right in front of him waiting to pay. He then walked off without even acknowledging us , and walked out of the entrance door! Another lady in reception came over, whilst dealing with other visitors to apologize... More

I visited this exhibition last week with my daughter-in-law and 9 year old grandson who was learning about the Egyptians at school. Personally I thought I would be quite bored but the further we went the more interesting it got and I certainly know more now than I did before. We found it very informativ, both the writing and the... More
