Great range of ales and ciders on offer in the Bear with frequent rotations to keep even the most dedicated and regular of drinkers happy. Also, good wine and gin selection available. We love this place for its cosy and sociable atmosphere, and friendly and...More
As a stranger to Southbourne I was intrigued to find that there were no fewer than three micropubs on the same street, within a few hundred yards of each other. It's not unusual these days to find one in a town, but three in a...More
One of the many growing band of micro-pubs-this one of a very high standard where conversation rules and mobile phones are defunct! A great range of beers served by a very knowledgeable young lady. Bus stop right outside to take the strain.
As described, this is a micropub in Southbourne. Inside, the décor is modern and trendy, with a few big wooden benches to sit or stand at. On the back wall there are chalk boards describing the ales available and the friendly owner is happy for...More

I love the concept, great beers and standing service! You don't queue at the bar, they come to you. A big board with all the beers clearly explained, great if you forgot your reading glasses! And staff who know what they are talking about.
