Last year I went to the cider night with a fantastic folk band ... Can't wait to go this year on the 19th May 17. Great venue atmosphere and a place to meet new people . The staff are mostly volunteers and always so friendly . A great place to visit on our door step !

Interesting venue run by volunteers. Unusual productions by local artists/theatre groups. The venue is in the process of a slow refurbishment - which adds to its charm. Only downside is expensive drinks for what it is. Theatre also needs a back entrance as the only way in is at the front so latecomers and toilet visits disrupt the performance.

We went to the Mayors charity comedy night. Good comedians and the compare was excellent. While we had drinks before hand Canapes were being offered and were delicious. A good night out.

The high plaster moulding reliefs of the proscenium arch convey vividly the atmosphere of past glories: the rest of the theatre is still a work in progress, but the staff are both relaxed in manner and enthusiastic in their mission to preserve and enhance the building and perpetuate performance there. We enjoyed both a performance and interval drinks, appreciated the... More

Been a couple of times to see a films and recently a folk concert as well as a local food fare earlier in the year. Using seats donated from the old IMAX the seats are comfortable but not enough leg room nor cup holders. There is a friendly atmosphere and a welcoming bar with reasonable prices. A great local venue... More

This "gem" of a small theatre, holding about 130, gives me such pleasure. Still in its infancy - about 3 years - it is relatively little known even by the locals. The theatre forms part of a very large building standing in lovely grounds stretching down to the cliff top. This was to be the home of the famous Mary... More

Just returned from a wonderful evening at The Shelley Theatre in Boscombe Manor, we enjoyed cheese and wine whilst being entertained by the ensemble Musique a Trois. We loved the whole set up at The Shelley with its lovely team giving everybody a warm welcome, different performance areas and its sense of developing into a venue which is on the... More

An interesting venue which is being renovated. Run by a team of volunteers it is an interesting building in which the team present some fascinating shows. Some are straightforward productions others are interactive, but no "pressure" to take part if you prefer not to.

I was invited to come along to watch a short film created by the Bournemouth University and was really pleased I made the effort. I had no idea this theatre existed within a much larger building. It is a fascinating historical place, quite comfortable and if you have the oportunity to enjoy an event there, I recommend it.
