One of the few indoor attractions open in Bournemouth on a cold March day. It was surprisingly good, not quite up to the standard of Sea Life Centres but at an entry price of £12.50 per adult it provided entertainment for almost a hour.

Visited with a 14 year old, slightly dubious that she would be bored. On the contrary, the ladies that did the feed and chat at the otters and turtles were so engaging and knowledgeable that my daughter was fascinated. You can pop in and out all day, which is perfect to coincide with a sunny visit to the lower gardens... More

I visited with my daughter and granddaughter who had been before. I had not thought that I would enjoy myself but did! It was well set out and had enough for all of us to view and be amazed.

My son who was with his family and our friends became a little bored with shops and endless stops for coffee. My husband took him to view the sea life. What a surprise the inside was quite large with penguins, sharks, crocodiles and many more aquatic animals. Also get a stamp on the hand and can return during your day

Lovely place to visit for half a day or so. It's quite small but it's got some great animals including otters, turtles and penguins. All of them seem well cared for and happy enough. We really enjoy going here and spend around four hours most visits.

There were a lot of fish and other creatures related to water to see and experience here. Generally we were impressed. I think you have to pick your times as it gets crowded. At feeding viewing times I found it claustrophobic with lots of people squeezing into small space. The location has great views onto the sea and pier, being... More

There really isn't much here that warrants the entrance fee. We had prepaid tickets but there's no mention of a separate que until you've already stood in the great big long que outside for half an hour. They pack far too many people in at once too. Tanks are all filthy. It's hard/impossible to see the animals through some viewing... More

Having never visited this type of attraction previously I was very impressed with the Oceanarium. My husband is currently living with dementia and has lost his central vision so objects either need to be well lit or close up. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience, was fascinated with the penguins and turtles. Would recommend this attraction for stimulating others with this... More
