Such a lovely part of the world and although we have lived there for a longtime it never loses its appeal. Great for blowing the cobwebs away on a Sunday or a beautiful spring/summer walk or day out. The kids will love it. Smashing little...More

Well it was January! But the wind was bracing to say the least! Lovely rolling sea and great views as you walk along the edge of the beach. Well worth the walk, even in the middle of winter and as it was getting dark. Many...More

Great to go for a walk with the dog or friends. Every side of the head is a great view. You either have Christchurch harbour or the Isle of Wight. The south side of the head is quieter as far as the beach is concerned...More

Hengistbury Head is very pleasant for an early morning walk, although in the summer it does get very busy in the day. Parking is close by.

£2/hour to park even in winter is grossly excessive, you have to pay in advance so either overpay or rushing back to your car.

Huge (expensive) car park suggests crowds but these disappear as you walk into the sands. Good for walking, kites and dipping your toes in. Two cafes - cheaper one near car park better value and still good food. Lots of special events for children and...More

Come here every time I visit the area, because it’s so lovely and accessible. Great views and walks; have even done the main pathway with a buggy and a wheelchair, with cafes at either end of the walk. If you feel a little more adventurous,...More

Yes, although I would suggest keeping dogs on leads due to live stock but awesome views. Visit the Hungry Hiker after your walk as they have a good selection of light bites.
