The Totnes Guildhall is a nice town history museum. It has a few nice historic rooms where the town council still convenes. There's also a prison in the basement. Worth a visit when you're around.

If you have a little time to spare in the pretty town of Totnes then the Guildhall is well worth a ten minute detour uphill from the High Street.

I decided to do the Totnes Garden Trail which encompasses a walk near the Guildhall - not really much to look at but pleasant on a bright sunny day.

Spent about 45 minutes in this extremely interesting old building, lots to look at, very good written guides and helpful staff. Much impressed.
