Overview
More
A 4 mile walk on the South West Coast Path based on Torquay harbour, with splendid views out across Tor Bay. The harbour was used by the British Navy as an anchorage during the Napoleonic Wars, and as a result it became a fashionable resort, popular with naval officers. Tropical plants flourish in the numerous parks and many of the gardens attached to the elegant Victorian villas and hotels.

Left Torquay and followed signs for the coastal walk. Some areas challenging as steps wind up and round. Arrived at Meadfoot and walked along to the end. Decided to go back and have a break and coffee in the Meadfoot Café. Extremely pleasant sitting watching...More

This is a very pleasant walk, especially if the sun is shining as it offers some of the best views across Tor Bay. Easy parking at Meadfoot. The first part of the walk is across the flat, open grassy Daddyhole Plain (Daddyhole = Devil's Cave)...More

A very pleasant walk, steep in parts but great views of the sea. Wild flowers galore at this time of year.

We often have a walk around here with our kids and it has some great views. As with a lot of the coast path around Torbay it is steep in places but the views are well worth the effort

An easy walk with stunning views. The path was well maintained and there were several places to stop and admire the views

The best part of this is the beaches and views. The walk is part of the county's famous `South West Coastal Path Walk`. A must walk if you visit the south west. You will be blown away with the views and the scenery.

Not advisable. Far too many steps on this particular bit. Torquay itself is quite hilly , but people do cycle along the seafront etc. There would be plenty of other places you could cycle.
